I started going through the logs in detail and found the below in the file install_debpkg

E: You don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/.

Could this be the reason and if so, can I clear some space in /var/cache/apt/archives in some way?

How full is the root (OS) partition?
- johandenverDec 30, 2021Aspirant
It says 100% with about 35MB free. I'm currently trying to move /app/plexmediaserver to /Vol1 since I don't even have plexmediaserver installed. Are there any other files that are safe to remove?
Edit:
....and I just realized that /apps is its own partition so that won't help at all :-(
I did remove a core file earlier but that was all I could find that would clear som space so I'd be very happy for some tips regarding what to safely remove :-)

I found a huge logfile from Squeezebox (which I think I tried using long ago) that seemed to clear up a lot of space. I now have 67% free on /
However, now I get this error instead (I've tried adding 8.8.8.8 as a secondary DNS)

Case solved.
The main problem, all along, was that I have installed a new network alongside my previous network at home. This resulted in a new ip-adress for my local router and once I added that to the DNS settings in my ReadyNAS, everything works fine. However, I did need to clear up some space in my root partition anyway so the time wasn't totally wasted :-)
