One of the features I use is the Logitech Media Server Add-on which I use to stream music to a Logitech Duet, Radios and smart TVs. Checked on Logitech Squeezebox forum about comtaibility of their add-on with new ReadyNas models but they confirmed it only supports old ReadyNas Duo and V2 models. Suggested I check here for add ons/apps that can be used with new ReadyNas models. Looked here http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9 and see a Logitech Media Server app listed. Before I commit to purchasing a new ReadyNas (looking at a NETGEAR RN202 model) can anyone one confirm it will allow me to stream music directly from the NAS as with my old setup?
Thanks
I had a similar setup with a Duo V1 that started to drop off the network, so i purchased a RN204 and a new 2 TB Red disk and used the 2 TB Red from the Duo (Originally i had 2 1 TB Seagate drives but after disk failure on disk 1 i swapped it out for a WD Red).
I also have a Logitech Squeezebox Duet and i works just the same on my RN204. Actually my Yamah AVR (Which is connected to my LAN) can also access the Logitech Media Server directly and play back my music collection.
Either way it works very well.
