NTop V1.0 - Questions and Discussion
This add-on really interests me, but I have one question: Will the add-on write to the disk?
I ask because I use disk spin-down to reduce noise, conserve energy and prolong disk life. I'd love to use the add-on, but if it interferes with spin-down functionality it would propably not be the right thing for me. :)

- ZappesAspirantOK, I guess I will have to think about spin-down again as this add-on really rocks. Thanks for the work!
- LoverAspirantI found that NTop 1.0 is cousing file transfer problem when the NTop 1.0 is OnLine on the ReadyNAS Duo. I know that in the Log files there are some errors.
Speed when the NTop 1.0 was OnLine:
4-5MB/sec.
When I turned the NTop 1.0 to OffLine:
23MB/sec.
The Log file is also very BIG.
I am sending you on pm link to my system logs.
I hope you can find the problem.
Thanks. - chirpaLuminaryIt is saving stats on every packet the NAS sees, so there will be a lot of overhead for sure.
- super_poussinVirtuosoi will check this week-end
- maciekishAspirantntop was causing suttering and freezing issues with streaming movies to my WDTV. Was a lot of
**WARNING** packet truncated (16114->8232)
in the log. After removing ntop, streaming works normally again.
