NZBGet unpack not working
Hi I currently have NZBGet set up so that all new downloads are downloaded into an "Incomplete" folder. I've then set NGBGet so that complete downloads are moved to a "Complete" folder, with sub...

unrar comes with NZBGet. If it's not working, it's more then likey that your directory settings are WRONG!!! So the settings in PATH, the Main Directory, is the directory location NZBGet is as. For example, I have NZBGet installed here: /apps/nzbget/
As Unrar is in NZBGet's main directory. Some of the other important things are WebDirectory. Which for me is /apps/nzbget/webui as that's where that is located for me. A folder inside the NZBGet folder. If you screw these up, the program will fail to even run. You really want to make sure everything is linked to where it actually is.
The other paths like Distination Directory I have in /data/Media/NZBGet/Complete or Inter Dir in /data/Media/NZBGet/Intermediate and so forth. The Media folder is where I have all my content located at. Made that easy to access my Maping that drive to Z: Click on that and I go right to my Media folder on my NAS like any other HDD on my computer.

Im fairly certain that the unrar directory is correct. According to the log it veryfies the .rar files during post process.

Something is failing here. I can unrar manually, by navigating to the NAS download directory and extracting with rar installed on Windows.

In the past having issues, it was normally some little thing that was not right. You may glace over it and not realize that was the problem all along. I've been using the program long enough and installed in a few times and gone over the settings many times over, I would hope it would work as it should and it does. Dark Matter is one Sonarr looks for and sends what it needs to for NZBGet which has downloaded without issue and Unrar piece of cake. It's really amazing how fast it can find it, download and and have it all processed from the NAS, shortly PLEX shows it as there ready to watch. All without having to do anything.
I still think it's a PATH thing. Maybe not with Unrar but with one of your other directly links.
I think it's something either in the PATHS, Check and Repair, or Unpack settings. The simple fact it's working on your Windows computer just fine makes it sound like something is not correct on NZBget on the NAS. Without seeing what's really going on, it's hard to just guess. All I can say is it works PEFECT for me these days. I can't ask it to work any better then it is. I can say there are some setting differances from the NAS to Windows. Also from one version to a newer version. It's all guessing at the point.

I've noticed that its giving the following erroe:
Thu Jun 22 2017 19:20:57 Unrar error code: 64 INFO Thu Jun 22 2017 19:20:57 Unrar: Try `unrar --help' or `unrar --usage' for more information. INFO Thu Jun 22 2017 19:20:57 Unrar: unrar: invalid option -- 'y'
Is there a way to lookup what error code 64 means?
- McGarnagleJun 22, 2017Aspirant
Im of the opinion that the UnrarCmd is incorrect, but i have no idea what it should be. Everything seems to be working fine, other than the unrar.

"-y" means assume yes on all queries.
You might need to use ssh, and look for Rar.txt. That should identify the options for the version you have installed.

I would check out this link on what to do.

The debian version that we are running is no longer Wheezy and it has been updated to Jessie since 6.6.0.
The non-free unrar package has been added to the ReadyNAS repo, so you will not need to add an additional repo to get the package.
apt update apt install unrar
Mhynlo will need to update their package to support the better version of unrar.

Thanks for this link. However i have no idea what was actually done to solve this issue. Are you able to help?
- JBDragon1Jul 01, 2017Virtuoso
I still think your issue is your settings for NZBGet! Unpack works great for me. NZBGet handled 6 files today for me alone. All processed just fine all on it's own and ready to see on PLEX without having to do anything.
- McGarnagleJul 03, 2017Aspirant
Did you install NZBGet through the app centre in ReadyCloud? If so, would you be able to take some screenshoot of the critical settings within NZBGet. I'm willing to copy them just to see if i can get it working.

I've used that version in the past, but itcan't get updates in the app. So this last time I installed though SSH. I had a little more flexabity of where to put it. WinSCP is a big help inthe making things much simpler. So now I can actually update NZBGet in the program as it should be. In fact I just looked and there's a new version, all I have to do is click the install button and let it do it's thing on it's own now. Now using version 19.1-testing-r2031. That update took maybe 30 seconds to do with a single click of a button. It doesn't work that way with one of these deb file installs.
I don't see a picture setting here, though I've done that in the past. My settings will be differnt from you as your location paths may be differnt, but you will get a Idea. All my Media is in a Media Folder, in that Media folder I keep all the NZBGet stuff it's getting from the Internet, everything is is located in it's home location. Just so you can get a understanding. Also I will have some settings you don't have, so ignore them.
MainDir /apps/nzbget/
DestDir /data/Media/NZBGet/Complete
InterDir /data/Media/NZBGet/Intermediate
NzbDir /data/Media/NZBGet/NZB
QueueDir /data/Media/NZBGet/Queue
TempDir /data/Media/NZBGet/Tmp
WebDir /apps/nzbget/webui
ScriptDir /apps/nzbget/scripts
Lockfile /apps/nzbget/nzbget.lock
LogFile /data/Media/NZBGet/nzbget.log
ConfigTemplet /apps/nzbget/webui/nzbget.conf.template
RequiredDir I've left blank!
CertStore ${AppDir}/cacert.pem
This last one I left alone and you may have some others that look simular. That's just the default shortcut pointing to the very first MainDir, I could have changed it also and just done a /apps/nzbget/cacert.pem. It's the same thing.
The other area to check is Check and Repair!
ParCheck Auto
ParRepair Yes
ParScan Extended
ParQuick Yes
ParBuffer (Mine is at 500 megabytes - My 516 NAS I upgraded to faster CPU and 16 Gig's of RAM from the default 4, so I have lots of extra!!!)
ParThreads 2 (Again Default is Auto, I limit it to only 2 cores on my CPU to help limit NZBGet from being a CPU Hog, so PLEX will run good)
ParIgnoreExt I didn't touch at all. Still shows .sfv, .nzb, .nfo
ParRename Yes
DirectRename No
HealthCheck Park
ParTimeLimit 0
ParPauseQueue Yes (Good thing to have turn ON when running on a NAS like I am)
Last area you should check is Unpack
Unpack Yes
DirectUnpack No
UnpackPaused Queue Yes (Another good thing to have turn on when running on a NAS with limited CPU resources, I'm not in that big of a rush!!!)
UnpackCleanupDisc Yes
UnrarCmd ${AppDir}/unrar (This is IMPORTANT!!! Again the default shortcut which is just the MainDir for NZBGet, in my case /apps/nzbget/ Because Unrar is located here!!! It comes with NZBGet and is in it's main directory whever that is on your own NAS)
SevenZipCmp ${AppDir}/7za (This also comes with NZBGet and is also in it's main directory so is treated the same way)
ExtCleanupDisc .par2, .sfv, _brokenlog.txt (This should be default)
UnpackIgnoreExt .cbr (Again default)
UnpackPassFile (Blank!)
Hope this helps you get it working as it should. Any other questions, settings let me know.
