Postgresql does not start after a system shut down

Hello,

After a system shutdown (Ready NAS 102 ARM), Postgres cannot be started anymore. If trying to start it  from the shell by executing /usr/lib/postgres/9.1/bin/postgres -D 'directory', a FATAL Error occurs saying that postgres cannot create a file under /var/run/postgresql. It is then necessary to create the directory /var/run/postgresql and set the postgres owner and group.

Is there any correction to this problem ?

Thank for any help

Kind Regards
