PS3 Media Server for ReadyNAS PRO
I have made addon PMS for readynas pro. it support transcoding in realtime (mkv can play at PS3).
Addon include java, mplayer, mencoder, ffmpeg, tsmuxer and PMS. If anybody want to test it - download link:

Transcoding is very slow... and size of addon very big. I have no time to correct it and finish the project, but if anybody want to finish - this link to source code of addon:

- to give up write access to addons-config:
from fronview, shares, share listing.
from there, go to addons-config (where all ps3ms folders resides) and click on CIFS and give default access to READ-WRITE
go on advanced tab and go to SET OWNERSHIP....blabla and check the box.
click apply
you should be ok.
hope this help. if not check around the forum for help on permissions. - addons-config isn't a share at my NAS
- The media share points to the addon-config folder....... how is that possible??????
- /etc/frontview/samba/Shares.conf says:
[media]
path = /c/addons-config
I want to change this to
[media]
path = /c/media

I have exactly the same issue. However, the shortcut in the NAS root points to /c/media and the Shares.conf says /c/media. But when I open \\nas\media in Windows I get the add-on folder for AirVideo. What gives??

add the name of the folder you want to share: addons-config
do it "by the book" and you will be ok - There is definitely an issue Yupsolo. Check out this thread that points to an interaction between 4.2.19 and add-ons:

I did'nt know/experienced this one...- Hope Super-Poussin will, one day, update the whole package for PS3Ms to work properly on the readynas x86.
I gave him 10 euros few days ago to help the process!
