readydata 5200 bootable problem
Hello evereyone, ı have ReadyData 5200 storage . I downloaded OS file from https://www.netgear.com/support/download/?model=RD5200 here but when ı tried to do the ReadyDATAOS-V1.4.3 bootable to US...
OK, I'm not sure why you are in that particular software. But the error message is pretty clear that the USB is not yet partitioned.
The ReadyNAS OS6 USB recovery (see How-do-I-use-the-USB-Recovery-Tool-on-my-ReadyNAS-OS-6-storage-system ) appears to have provisions for restoring a ReadyData system as well, putting the OS in the solaris folder. I can find no documentation on it's use for that, but that's what I suggest you try. But I do not know if the USB needs to already be partitoned for that to work (since it's designed to restore a previously working one, not create one from scratch).
The file that goes in the solaris folder is not the firmware image, but rather a flash image.
