I have already tried several times but without any changes
I also tried putting admin or guest as the owner of the folder
I tried deleting and installing the app again
I tried going into settings.json and changing unmask from 18 to 0

I also tried putting admin or guest as the owner of the folderOk. Reset will recursively set permissions of all the files and subfolders to match the settings, so you should always use it after changing them.
You might also look for a "umask" setting in transmission. If you see that, then try setting it to 0.

Here I am again
I tried again to double-check the permissions of the folders where I tell Transmission to download and I pressed reset after confirming the saves but nothing changes.I also tried to open the Tranission settings file and change the "unmask" line from 18 to 0 but nothing.
UPDATE: After several attempts and changes to the settings file I managed to get it working. Most likely it was the username he didn't like and changing it from admin now works
