Yes, the camera is behaving normally when accessed directly from its web interface.
I had live view and event playback working on several different browsers/OSs. Now, the playback image windows are just black. Somewhere in between 2 FW updatss, something happened. The console 404 error is the only thing indicating any sort of an error.

Can you download the system logs of the NAS and provide it to us? You may visit this link for the procedure on how you can send it.
Please also provide a screenshot of the 404 error.
