Security camera storage

I have a Netgear NAS 214 unit which I want to use as storage for several wifi camera's. Are there any brand of camera's and associated software that will use the local NAS as storage. Cloud storage is not an option due to poor internet connection and remote location

Blue Iris can do that.  Sandshark uses it, so he can give you more info.

Of course, running Blue Iris does require you have it running on a computer (or VM, I suppose).  I had an older Core2 Quad PC dedicated to it until I installed a rack system and got a pretty powerful replacement that runs it and some other apps.

I don't recommend the NAS be the primary storage with Blue Iris.  It's better to have that on a local drive, but have the NAS set up as the archive.  But you can set the archive period to be quite short.  Mine is a day before anything is moved from primary to archive.

A lot of cameras used to have ftp capability to store on a NAS, but not that many do any more.  I find a single user interface for all cameras, including the capability to activate groups with the motion sensing of one, to be better, anyway.  And Blue Iris has it's own motion sensing, including blanking for trees that blow in the wind and such, which I find better than most cameras' built-in detection.  I looked at a lot of options, though that's been a lot of years ago now, and found Blue Iris to be best for me for cost and features.  No per-camera licensing is a big part of that.  They have since added a yearly maintenance fee if you want to stay current, but it's also not a lot.  They are at https://blueirissoftware.com/ .  Don't forget the "software" part, or you'll end up somewhere else entirely.
