Surveillance Add On for RND4000-100 Ready NAS NV+ 4.1.14
Is there a camera add on for this model? I would like to add an IP camera. Readyy NAS NV+ RND 4000-100. Radiator 4.1.14. Also is there any way I can upgrade this "old" model.

Surveillance won't run on that platform (which is called an NV+ v1 here btw).
It will run on any OS-6 NAS, though I think some features might need a business NAS (RN300 and above).
Check the camera list before you buy - it wouldn't be good to get the NAS and the surveillance app, and then discover that your camera isn't compatible.

It is old, Netgear stopped selling them in 2011 and the design goes back to the infrant days. Netgear doesn't sell an upgrade package per-se, but there are a lot of OS-6 desktop models to chose from.
Obviously surveillance is one thing you care about. What other things are you looking for? Are you using it for home or business?

Thank you for your answer. I need to add a couple of cameras and was curious if a third party solution had been developed and/or if it is at all possible to upgrade my NAS (hardware) to a NAS that will accept surveillance add-on. This is for home use.
I have NV+ and an NV; both are working fine and have been for the last 4/5 years. I only changed the power supply on one - ironically the newer one - because it smoked out. Luckily I was able to buy one online and with just some minor mods was able to fit it in. I know that these are NOT supported but I hate to trash them for something newer. If / when I do I will probably move away from this brand.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hello ASC,
These ReadyNAS NV+ and NV you are old and have joined EOL year ago and are one of the most basic models. I apologize but the ReadyNAS Surveillance has some requirements that these old models do not meet. Please see ReadyNAS Surveillance info.
I hope you understand and decide to upgrade your NAS unit after backing up important files.
Regards,
