314 or Pro 4 Max memory?
Thinking of buying a ReadyNAS 314, or a Pro 4. Spec sheets says 2Gb RAM (314) and 256Mb (Pro 4) installed from factory. Any ideas as to maximums possible? (Understanding usual Netgear disclaimers ...

See how the cached figure is high? Your NAS is caching files to improve performance. Your Swap Total and Swap Free are nearly identical. Since you aren't swapping there would be little benefit to doing a RAM upgrade. You might be able to cache a bit more so there might be some difference, but probably not much.
In any case we don't support RAM upgrades.
Your slowness of transferring files is due to something else. You should open a separate thread to discuss that and/or contact support.
