314 or Pro 4 Max memory?

It won't hurt performance, but you could end up denied netgear support.

If you do go forward, you should save the existing memory in case you need to reinstall it.
I agree with mdgm's analysis, I don't see any chance of significant performance gain here. If you were running more apps, then it might be different.
