APC Smart UPS 1400

Anybody know if the APC Smart-UPS 1400 is compatible with the ReadyNAS NV+ or not?

The Smart-UPS 1400 only has a DB9 interface. I have used it with a USB-Serial cable to a PC, but I don't know if that will work with the ReadyNAS
