I just picked up a CP1500LCD with the intention to use it for the readynas but second thought, I only need the NAS to safely shutdown when the power goes out and come back on when power is restored. I have an older CP585LCD that I'm using for other equipment but since the readynas is going to be the only thing attached to which ever UPS. I'm thinking move the 585 in the closet with the readynas and use the 1500 for my other equipment where I have multiple devices connected to.Smart-UPS 1500 RM
I recently lost my UPS host machine, and have reinstalled NUT on a different server. I'm having issues getting the ReadyNAS to talk to the APC host. First it seems it doesn't like some passwords (like all digits), even though they are the proper passwords. But with a alphanumeric password and the proper user it thinks for a few seconds, then gives me "Failed to communicate with UPS. Error in during post proc. (sic) Code: 17003030001" Nothing is put in the logs. It seems to be communicating, as it can tell the difference between a wrong username and a wrong (or apparently what it considers invalid) password. This is a ReadyNAS 2120 with firmware 6.1.4 Thanks for any help.APC Back-UPS ES 700 works with ReadyNAS 102
Hi, just today dismantled my PC driven Freenas NAS and connected the UPS to my ReadyNAS 102. On connecting it recognized a UPS being connected, but not the type. After a restart of the NAS everything was recognized fine. I tested the configuration by unplugging the UPS. After a while it nicely brought the NAS down. So I can confirm the combination APC Back-UPS ES 700 and ReadyNAS 102 (firmware 6.1.7) does function as expected.APC Back-UPS RS 1200 LCD - Working Fine With ReadyNAS 314
G'day Everyone, I just wanted to report that I am using an APC Back-UPS RS 1200 LCD UPS device connected to a Netgear ReadyNAS 314 (6.1.7) via USB. As soon as I plugged the UPS into the NAS it detected it without any problems at all. In addition, it seems to be functioning as advertised and reports on low battery, running on battery and running on power etc ... Even tho this UPS isn't on the hardware compatibility list for me the combination is functioning well. Hello all, I have made enquiries internally on this topic. . APC UPS that have a USB port are supported on 0S6 ReadyNAS. Only APC UPS's have been tested. Other manufacturers may work, once they use the same USB API and driver, but these have not been tested. The data I have: APC 750ICH, APC BE450G and APC 1000ICH will work using USB2.0 and USB 3.0, on the full range of OS6, ie RN102, RN104, RN312, 314, 316,516. APC 750ICH is for the China market. http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SUA750ICH&xtmc=SUA750ICH%2520-%2520APC%2520Smart-UPS%2520750VA%2520USB%2520%2526%2520Serial%2520230V%2520for%2520China&xtcr=2 BE540G is 120V input for North America market. http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BE450G%2DCN&xtmc=BE450G-CN%2520-%2520APC%2520Back-UPS%2520450VA%252C%25208%2520outlet%252C%2520120V%2520Canada&xtcr=1 BR1000 has USB interface port. Replies re use of other manufacturer UPS are welcome. Regards Marto
