Backup 316/516 to Ready Nas Pro 6
Hi, I am interested in upgrading to one of the newly released products but wondering if it will work to backup via cloud/replicate to an older pro model? Or is RSYNC still a better option for o...

If it helps, I just needed to copy data from one ReadyNas to another. However, they were on the same LAN, albeit they were an Ultra 6 Plus and a Pro Pioneer. I tried RSync but it was "too slow" for me, even with a bonded NIC on the Ultra and single NIC on the Pro Pioneer.
What I ended up doing to copy ~7TB's of data was to set up an NFS copy first, and then Rsync the incremental back up. The transfers then were SUPER fast. The work around for this was:
Bond (LACP - Layer 3+4) the Ultra Pro Plus. I left the MTU @ 1500. Why? Because I had no time to troubleshoot I/O errors when set to Jumbo Frames @ 9000. Anyway, I set up back jobs on the Ultra 6 Plus to pull from the Pro Pioneer. Since both NIC's were active on the PP, I alternated the BU jobs utilizing both NIC's.
For example:
NIC 1 = media/folder a
NIC 2 = media/folder b
NIC 1 = media/folder c
etc.
That worked for me and I am happy. Was able to open random files. Next I will probably MD5 everything, except for my movies, as I don't care of those.
