I tried out Replicate awhile, when I worked there and had 'free' licenses to use it. It wasn't reliable enough for me, would go offline often, or jobs just fail to run with unhelpful error codes. I ended up removing it and Remote from any systems I used.
Rsync+SSH would accomplish the goal, enough with the extra step of setting up firewall/port forwards, so one machine could reach the other on port 22/TCP.
