Can Netgear update the firmware to reflect new changes?
I remember when I first bought a used duo years ago, only to realized most of the feature s on the web interface were long discontinued, but still showing up on the page. Netgear could have cleaned up the interface so it does not confuse users.
Now that we see the same thing happening to to readycloud. It is dead and should be removed. Not all the Readynas user will come here to realize the reality.
Second, Netgear quietly released a new version of OS, 6.10.9, but never made it official. This is a very important release, as 6.10.8 is completely useless. It has been a long time since the release. However, it is still now available through the update check. It still says 6.10.8 is the most up to date firmware. This shouldn’t be something difficult. Or at least fix 6.10.8.
What are admins doing? They are fully aware of the situation.
Very disappointed.

Appears it's difficult do understand (and even harder to accept for some people here) that ReadyNAS does no longer exist, no changes will be done, no future roll-out will be maintained.

I don't remember ever announced the release of 6.10.9 as they they usually. It ws rolled out only after people complained about the 6.10.8 stopped working without official announcement. If you look at this page where people normally download all the needed softwares, it still showes 6.10.8 as the current:
https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads
And if you try to update the firmware from 6.10.8, it tells you there is no new update.
Most people update their systems like this.

Not aware 6.10.8 stopped working ... probably some of the (mostly unsupported) Apps made it behave like that.

hello from France
Version 6.10.9 has been available since May 5, but it is not automatically offered for download/installation.
In France we discovered that this new version allowed to unlock two problems:
- a ReadyNas 102 blocked in version 6.4.2 and which refused the installation of a 6.10.8 version
- a ReadyNas 104 which refused to install applications
This version 6.10.9 seems more important than Netgear announces it. So much the better
No, the ReadyNas is not dead ... 😉- tigertenLuminary
let's also include the other mods as well.
Anisha was the mod who said she was going to look into this.

Hello tigerten ,
The previous version 6.10.8 is working now and probably the latest version has to be updated and can be shown up while you try to update the firmware in the GUI of the NAS.
If you still get this is the latest version you can also update it manually.

Have a lovely day,
