Can't connect to ReadyNAS 102
After several years of no problems for backups, I can't find my ReadyNAS 102 from any computer. Under Devices and Printers it shows as grayed out. I downloaded the latest version of RAIDR and it can'...

You can migrate your disks to the RN424.
If you have apps installed, you might run into some trouble since many are x86 or arm specific - but the system should come up anyway.

You might need to forcibly shut down (try holding down the power switch for 5 seconds or so, or just pull the plug). Either way, there is always some risk of data loss when you do this - but if you can't get access, you need to take that risk.
No, the router (Netgear R7800) does not show the ReadyNAS in the Attached Devices tab.
E-mail notifications were turned on, but I received no e-mail before this occurred. I only see one test message 3 years ago, and one rebooting message from a year and a half ago.
I don't see an ethernet LED on the back. It's not that I see it not lit, I just don't see one.
The volume was probably about about 80-85% full.
I have forcibly shut down the router twice, and also cut power through the UPS to the system (main PC, Router, monitor, cable modem); no change after rebooting.
Thanks.

There are leds there built into the connector that normally show network status. See page 19 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf
Try powering down the NAS, and then removing the disk drive(s) - labeling by slot so you can return them to the right position.
Then power up the NAS and see if you any network activity. RAIDar should show a "no disk status". If that fails, try a different switch port on the router, and perhaps also different cable.
If you don't still see any LED activity on the network, then you likely have a failed NIC. It's not repairable, it is covered by the 3-year warranty. You can check your warranty status at my.netgear.com (and if your product wasn't registered, you should do so). You should also upload proof of purchase if you haven't already done so. Then if you are still covered by the hardware warranty you can use the "return my defective product" link to create a support case.

Still not seen in router after removal of drives and power on, so I guess it's dead.
In replacing the NAS, Can the current drives, if used in the same order (1 & 2) in a new NAS, retain the existing backups? I'd be looking at the newer generation of NAS, such as the NeadyNAS 424 if set the same (XRAID)?

Thanks for the help! With the drives out, and a power back on, the NAS was still not seen by the router, so it's dead, and a replacement is inbound, upgrading to a ReadyNAS 424 for future expandability.
