Can't Connect to READYnas RNDU 2000 with Windows 10
I have a ReadyNas that is very old but has been working fine until a few weeks ago. I have not had it turned on for some time. It boots up normally. I am now unable to access any shares with RAIDAR 6...

I have changed the TCP/IPVv4 IP address to 169.168.168.168, Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0 and Default gateway to 192.168.1.1. I can now get RAIDAR 4.3.8 to find the NAS but I cannot "Browse" the shares.
If you are directly connecting, try setting the PC to use:
- IP address 192.168.168.100
- subnet: 255.255.255.0
- router: 192.168.168.168
Then access the NAS by it's IP address (instead of it's hostname).

I did these steps a few times and now it's working again! I can access the NAS via RAIDAR and I can see it and access it via File explorer. I can also access it by entering the ip address/admin. I'm now going to look for a new NAS chasis and drives to replaces this aging one. Thanks so much for helping me access my data.

Your Ultra2 can still make a fine backup to your new NAS. I recommend converting it to OS6 if you do that. It's much more up to date, and you won't have to switch back and forth between two different GUIs.

I will upgrade to OS6 once I get a new NAS in place. As this chasis is going on 8 years old I don't know how much longer this one will hold out but it has worked flawlessly. Will OS6 be more compatable with Windows10? So now that I can access everything when it's connected directly to the computer, I still cannot access it when it's connected to my Netgear C3600 model/router with these settings. What do I need to do differently to access it that way? If I can run it through the router, I would be able to connnect both NAS at the same time to transfer data between them right? Thanks again for your help with this. I'm not at all a comptuer expert.
