Convert ReadyNAS 4312X to 4312S
Hello all, we recently purchased a ReadyNas 4312X (copper) and have just discovered it is not compatable with our Cisco nuxus 9372, we should have purchased the 4312S (Optical SFP+). Is there any way to convert it?

Welcome to the community.
I tried checking the available accessory but I did not see any accessory that would help you with your case. As on how to convert it, I think there are converters that you can use but its going to be 3rd party.
Have you tried checking with the store if it can be swapped? The converters might be pricey also, so if its still possible to be exchanged; I will probably go that route.

I have a 4312x and I have put an Intel X540-T2 card in the 8x slot inside the chassis and it was detected. You could see in the networking tab eth0-eth3 as gigabit, and then eth4-eth7 as being 10-gigabit. I don't see any reason why the X520 card (the SFP+ one) wouldn't work. Maybe by now you've already gotten your ReadyNAS exchanged but hopefully this will help anyone else with a similar situation.
