Cyberpower CP1000AVRLCD UPS communication error

I installed NUT on the server 2012 box but the HIDUSB driver failed to install, the FAQ documents for NUT was lacking any info to get the right driver installed on Windows, so I uninstalled NUT from it. If I can really get NUT to work on the PC it'll be perfect cause I just purchased a CP1500AVRLCD which I can now run an extension cable to the NAS and have both the server and NAS run off one unit.
btw: I also tested the CP1500AVRLCD on he ReadyNAS and same result.
Frontview will show that UPS is disconnected once I pull the USB cable, after I plug it back in, a few minutes later in system health, it'll show that the UPS is out of spec.
