Does a New 4-drive X-RAID Volume Default to RAID 5 or 6?
Should be an easy question, but I cannot find the info in the OS 6.10 Software Manual. Specs for the RN214 say that it supports RAID 6 with 4 drives, but 4 drives can also use RAID 5.
If I reset my RN214 and start fresh with 4 identical drives with the default X-RAID, will the volume be configured as RAID 5 or RAID 6? I ASSUME it will default to RAID 5, since that leaves the most usable space, but I thought I'd ask instead of just being surprised at the results.
