Does the rear eSata connector on ReadyNAS boxes provide 12 V and 5 V power for an SSD/HDD?

I.e. is it active or passive? My NAS is an RN102.

  • The eSATA connector on all ReadyNAS does not provide power.

    I'm pretty sure that it is active - but I don't know for sure, and the datasheet and hardware manual don't say.  Perhaps JohnCM_S or Marc_V will chime in.
