Technically on that other forum they are not really deleted either. The delete function simply moves the post to a forum that is only accessible by moderators and staff. To he regular members it is "deleted", but we can always magically restore a post by moving it back if need be. Normally on a member post where the argument get a little too heated (you ought to see some of the discussions re: Windows vs Mac vs Linux, makes political discussions seem tame) we edit any objectionable items out. (Insults to other members is not permitted, most expletives are caught by filters). Rarely do we have to do anything with help requests other than move one to a proper category.
