Front door display blank and hard drive lights flashing blue in sync
Hello, Hopefully someone can help me with this. Yesterday I couldn't access any of the files on the NAS. I tried to log into ReadyNAS from my laptop but it showed that the NAS was not available. When I went down to the NAS, there was no wording lit up on the front door and when I tapped the OK button that usually brings up the name and ip address, nothing happened. I opened the door and all six lights next to each hard drive enclosure were flashing blue in sync. I tried to shut the NAS down by pressing the button 3 times as the instructions say to do but nothing hppened. I ended up just pushing and holding in the button until the NAS shut down. After waiting 10 minutes to make sure that everything spooled down, I restarted the NAS and everything looked like it was working. When I checked ReadyNAS it said that it was syncing and would be about 28 hours to finish. Today I tried to access my data and again I couldn't and I wasn't able to log into ReadyNAS again. Again when I checked the NAS, it was doing the same hing as yesterday. Again I tried to shut it down the correct way to no avail so I again ended up pushing and holding the button until it shut down. I restarted it and again it is saying that it is syncing and will be done in 22 hours. When I went to volumes, it shows that I have 12.67TB of data, 300.70MB of snapshots, and 9.75TB free. It shows Raid 5 and now shows 28 hours remaining for the sync. I show all 6 green steady lights next to the dipiction of the hard drives. Why is it freezing up and not letting me access my files? Thanks in advance for any help anybody can give me to resolve this. Rick

You could try downloading logs with RAIDar.
It might be best to use netgear support. If you are the original owner and purchased between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2016, then you have lifetime chat support.
