Hitachi 7K3000 HDS723020BLA642 - NV+ & Ultra 6 Issues
I'm trying to replace 2 hard drives on 2 different boxes. One is an NV+ which has 3 1TB drives the other is an Ultra 6 which has 3 other 2 TB drives. I'm replacing some drives that are getting erro...

Hitachi had the model number on the drive label, but the P/N was used on the outer anti-static bag but the model number was not. So that led to confusion as some sites listed the drive by the P/N and some sites listed them by the model number.
I would first make sure my backup was current and complete. One of the most critical times for the NAS is on the resync, for if another drive is weak and fails at this point, you then have the dreaded double drive failure which very often results in data loss. Then hot pull the drive in question, attach it to a Windows PC and use drive management to remove all partitions from the drive. Then hot re-insert the drive. The system should verify the drive and then start the resysnc.
