Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue while trying to play Stardew Valley multiplayer on PC. The game either fails to connect with friends or stays stuck on the “Connecting...” screen indefinitely. I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 7 Router RS700S (19Gbps), and I suspect there might be some configuration causing the issue — maybe NAT type or port restrictions. Here’s what I’ve already tried: Restarted the router and PC Turned off Windows Firewall temporarily Enabled UPnP in the RS700S settings Manually forwarded ports 24642 and 26120, which some Stardew guides recommend Despite all this, the game still can’t connect in multiplayer mode. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the RS700S router? Are there any additional ports or settings I should be looking into to make Stardew Valley multiplayer work properly? Would really appreciate any advice! Thanks!where to get new PSU for Readynas 4200 / how to disable beep
Hi, one of the psu of my readynas 4200 died yesterday. I have two questions: 1. Where can I order a new psu? 2. Are there alternatives, for example a psu which make less noise? Or would it be possible to replace the fan of the psu to reduce the noise (I think psu's make more noise than the fans in the readynas) And a third question: With only one psu working the Readynas makes a really annoying beeping sound to warn me that there is only one psu working. Is it possible to disable this beep? And if yes how? regards HenriReadyNAS Pro - Replace CPU Fan
The 80mm CPU fan on my ReadyNAS Pro Business NAS is starting to go. This is an early model that arrived with the CPU three pin header connected to the daughter board, as opposed to the main board. The announcment: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12240/~/service-action-for-x86-readynas-pro-cpu-fan-speed-control-(2009-) My question - 1) Is this correct - the early units had CPU fans with 3 pin header as opposed to 4 pin header, so the fix was to hook up the header to the daughter board which has a 3 pin header? 2) I'd like to get a quiet fan, as opposed to the original fan. I've read in this forum that the Noctua NF-R8 PWM 80mm Case Fan is very good. This has a 4 pin header. Is there anything better for the NAS? 3) Will a 4 pin PWM replacement fan work on the main board 4 pin header with no other hardware or software modification? 4) I assume I'll want to delete/stop the ToggleSwitchProCPUFan cron job once the new fan is connected to the 4 pin header on the main board? Thanks! My two ReadyNAS Pro's are still going strong. Not ready for the landfill yet.Moved ReadyNAS NV+ & Won't Power Up
I moved my ReadyNAS NV+ A201-75xx for a 3 hour drive to my new location. When setting up, I pressed the power button and nothing at all. No leds, no fan, no nothing. - Yes, it's plugged in :) - The power button is not sticking and is feeling as normal - I did not have any auto shutdown setup or whatever that is I read about here I pulled the power supply from the case, plugged it in and checked the wires from the PSU. I only got voltage on pins 8 & 14 which were both around 1 volt. That seems suspicious to me, however, I'm no expert. Anyone have any ideas?5.2KViews0likes10CommentsStrange Power Behaviour in ReadyNAS Pro
Howdy, I have a ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer (RNDP600E), now about 5-years old, and it has served me very well and faithfully. It's had some hard drive upgrades in its life and all has been good. Yesterday it started displaying some rather stranger power behaviour - I turned it off via the front console button, it powered down successfully, but seconds later it powered itself back up again. I repeated this, and the same thing happened, so I turned it off once more and this time turned it off via the main switch on the PSU after a clean shutdown. Then I went to turn it on today, and it simply would not turn on. I assumed the PSU had died. I left it plugged in for about 10-minutes whilst starting to Google for replacement PSUs, and then it suddenly powered itself up. Hooray! However every time I do a shutdown (either via the front console button or via the web interface), within seconds it is powering itself back up again. It's not reporting any errors. Any suggestions? Thanks!NAS Not all drives are equal - choosing the right drive for you
One of the most important decisions you will make when purchasing a NAS is the decision as to which drives to purchase to put in it. Indeed depending on which NAS model and which drives you buy you can spend more (or almost as much) on disks as you spend on the NAS itself. It is vital that you get this decision right. We have a hard disk compatibility list for you to choose drives from: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641 Whether the drive has Rotational Vibration Safeguard, the warranty length and the price of the drive can give an initial indication as to the quality of the drive. Particularly in desktop models with large numbers of drive bays and in rackmount models, Rotational Vibration Safeguard is important. Indeed in the 12-bay models it is essential. Drives pitched at consumers tend to have shorter warranties. Drives targeted at business users tend to have longer warranties and be designed to handle heavy 24x7 use. If the NAS is used for primary storage then considering backup storage as well is important. What drives will you use in e.g. a backup NAS? Budget and capacity requirements are important considerations. Should you go with lower capacity enterprise drives or higher capacity drives targeted at consumers? Drive choice is very much a personal choice. I would recommend that when you do narrow it down to a handful of options that you may wish to purchase that you do a search for them e.g. using Google and take a look at reviews for the drives to see how other users have found them. Some drives have lower failure rates than others. If you need help with selecting the right drive for you please ask and the community will be happy to assist. Do you have any tips for drive selection or an experience you'd like to share or do you have a question about choosing drives for your NAS?
