ReadyNAS automation for backups and file management – anyone using workflows?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working with a ReadyNAS setup recently and I’m trying to improve how files and backups are managed across multiple devices.
Right now the NAS handles storage and scheduled backups, but I’m exploring whether it’s possible to connect it with simple automation workflows. For example, triggering certain actions when files are uploaded, organizing folders automatically, or syncing certain directories with external systems.
I know many people here use ReadyNAS mainly for storage, media servers, or network backups, but I’m curious if anyone has experimented with integrating automation tools or scripts alongside their NAS setup.
I came across a technical explanation that discusses how automation workflows can connect with storage systems and digital infrastructure, which made me think about applying similar ideas to NAS environments
Has anyone here tried integrating ReadyNAS with external automation tools, scripts, or APIs? I'm particularly interested in setups that improve file organization or automated backup management.
Would love to hear what tools or approaches others are using.
