Management VLAN
I can't make change management VLAN form VLAN 1 to VLAN 10, when ever tried to change MGNT VALN am getting error.
SWITCH MODEL : GS724TPV2 prosafe
ERROR! MANAGEMENT ACCESS WILL BE LOST ON MGNT VLAN CONFIGURATION
Hello MASS_BH_,
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
To get rid of that Alert message you need to have at least one port to be a member of the VLAN you want to set as management VLAN. Since you already have VLAN 10 the following are the steps to change management VLAN:
1. connect your computer to the switch, example: port1
2. go to Switching - VLAN - Advanced - VLAN Membership
3. for VLAN1 remove the "U" for any port except port1, example: port7
4. for VLAN10 toggle port7 to "U"
5. go to Switching - VLAN - Advanced - Port PVID Configuration
6. set port7 PVID to 10
7. change Management VLAN ID to 10To manage the switch you should now connect your computer to port7.
