If you have ssh access, go to /etc/frontview/usb and delete the old, no longer valid, lines from storage.conf which have the names that you want to reuse. Then go back to frontview and rename it. The supported way is probably to edit your backup jobs though. If you mess up storage.conf you are on your own :-). Make a copy of it just in case so you can restore it.
