How to link RN104 to RN516 so Plex has one data source
Hi,
Recently I experienced some explansion issues when upgrading my RN516, which I moved some of the media files on to an old RN104 which still works OK, but Plex on the RN516 can't see these file. Yes I can run Plex on both devices but that means changing between servers. Is it possible to run one Plex between these 2 readynas servers for a seemless function.
Any ideal???

I don't think this is currently possible using the Plex App/Plex Server on the NAS. But you can always share your RN104 Shares to your Plex Account right?

Also, if you have Plex pass it seems that you can have multiple servers on one account. Check here.

You'd need to mount the RN104's media shares on the RN516 in order to do what you want. Then you'd could add those mounted shares to the plex libraries you want them in. Another option (which is what I'd probably do) is to create (empty) subfolders in one or more of your RN516 shares, and use those folders as mount points for the RN104. Then Plex would pick up the RN104 media on it's next library scan.
There's some info on that here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201122318-mounting-network-resources/ though it really doesn't give much information for linux. The mounting described in the article requires ssh. You could use either NFS or SMB to do those mounts.
