Import an export volume

Hi all,

We have a ReadyNas 314 with 4 HD in Raid 5 and just one volume.
I accidentally exported the Volume and I need to import it back.
How can I do that?

I've tried to recover a Backup previous to the exported but it says that the volumes do not match.
I guess the only way is back to factory default but I don't want to lose the data inside the volume and I'm not sure if I can do a Factory default in a ReadyNas diskless
I've read that export is a valid way to transport a volume to a new NAS, but I need to know how to import.

Thanks, José

  • There's no way to do a factory default diskless (since factory default means "fresh install on to the disks").  And a factory default always destroys data.  So don't do that.

Hopefully someone from Netgear can help.

        Hello jmbarrio,

        Welcome to the community!

You may need to restart the NAS and recreate the volume and manually copy files over, or create a backup job.
