Increasing Speed on RN3138
We currently have a Ready Nas RN3138. Each bay with 4x 4TB Drives running X Raid and Raid 5. Were looking to whatever we can to increase the speed for server connectivity.

What speeds are you seeing?
How many simultaneous users to you typically have?
Is the concern the large file transfer speeds, or small files/folder browsing?
NIC teaming can help if you have lots of users.
There are two approaches to using SSDs
- Create two RAID-1 volumes - one using SSDs, the other using mechanical disks. Use the mechanical disks for archival files that aren't accessed as often.

On Average we have about 15-20 users at a time connected to the server.
Most users are accessing Excel files , QuickBook Files, and Adobe illustrator files.
We have concerns with large file transfer reads, along with small files/folder browsing
I know editing video content over this system would not be affected.
Were currently using Egnyte for cloud storagage which syncs to our Ready NAS.
It's always a good idea to check the disk health when you are seeing performance issues - especially if they are new. So perhaps look at the SMART stats in disk_info.log Also, check the network stats in network_settings.log and your switches.
Are you using link aggregation? If so, how is it set up?
Also, are any shares configured to use "strict sync"? That will hurt performance.

Ideally you'd get results when the NAS is idle, and also when it is under it's normal load.

In regards to bonding on the Ready NAS , Ours is currently not bonded but does have a static IP. I have created the trunk in the HP Switch for LACP.
When creating the bond on the Ready NAS, Should I added the static IP after creating the Bond?
