is 585 VA too small?
I just picked up a CP1500LCD with the intention to use it for the readynas but second thought, I only need the NAS to safely shutdown when the power goes out and come back on when power is restored. ...
Well I think you would need a NAS that can provide a fair bit of power for that NAS. You need also to remember that you shouldn't load a UPS over ~80% of its maximum load otherwise the battery may need to be replaced sooner than otherwise as draining it fast shortens its life.
