LMS for OS6
A LMS (Logitech Media Server) add-on for OS6 would be great.
I am thinking about upgrading to the new OS but need LMS (even if its obsolete).
Anyone got it running from source?

I'll do my best not to change it ;-). Thanks again! - F_L_TutorThis is super great! Thanks super-poussin!
- phydauxs1AspirantHello Super-Poussin. Firstly, thank you for your add on. I managed to install it first time on my Netgear 312. Unfortunately it stopped working just when it was about to finish the library scan. I couldnt get it going at all so I decided to unistall and reinstall it. I followed the same procedure but it comes up with a message saying the second file (lms deb file) failed to install. Then when I go to the app page I can see the LMS app and when I click to turn it on it comes up with a a screen saying 'toggling service - this might take a few minutes', I get the timer going around and it just hangs. Would really appreciate any help you can offer.
ps let me know which currency you have so I can make a donation. - super_poussinVirtuosowill put new version in community dropbox
- phydauxs1AspirantThanks super-poussin. Unfortunately still the same problem. 1.0.3 fails to install. Although when I go to apps and see the LMS icon it says installed. I try to turn it on and it just hangs. Could there be a problem with readygear app site because when I go to 'available' in apps it just gives me the timer and doesnt show any apps. When it was working I could see all the available apps.
- GovnahAspirantCan you post the server.log, from /var/log/squeezeboxserver#?
I don't even use the Apps/Available from frontview as it is severely broken and buggy. I would turn off Genie+market place and just use apt-get and dpkg if you are comfortable SSHing into the box. - phydauxs1Aspirant'I would turn off Genie+market place and just use apt-get and dpkg if you are comfortable SSHing into the box'.................this way beyond my ability! (unfortunately)
UPDATE: Have done a factory reset and can now load and run LMS. - super_poussinVirtuosotry this :
dpkg -r lms
dpkg --purge lms
dpkg -r logitechmediaserver
dpkg --purge logitechmediaserver
apt-get update
apt-get install lms - phydauxs1Aspirant
