Lost Server that ReadyNAS was connected to

We recently had our server go completely down to the point of not being able to retrieve anything off of it. Our Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ was connected to it and seems to be fine, however, I am unable to log into to retrieve files. I have directly connected it to my PC and downloaded Raidr and can see directories but when I try to login in I get an invalid password/username error message. A lot of these files are critical to our business and I desperately need to figure out how to access them. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I am technical but not an IT person so the simpler the better. Thanks!

Have you tried logging in as the "admin" user?

Was the User Mode set to Domain Security Mode?
  • I have tried logging in with our last known admin login password, but it doesn't recognize it and continues to ask for a username password. I am not sure what the User Mode was set to. Is there a way to query the user mode?

You could try an OS Re-install to reset the admin password.
