Mounting TimeMachine sparsebundles from ReadyNASOS 6.10.0?

I recently upgraded from a ReadyNAS NV+ to a more modern ReadyNAS RND424 and find that I am missing a capability that I had used fairly frequently on the NV+ with the old 4.X firmware--the ability to browse to the ReadyNAS backups voume and mount the timemachine sparse bundles to browse around the backups for other and old machines. These are not systems that are currently being backed up but images of old machines. I don't want to have to copy the sparsebundle off of the ReadyNAS in order to mount it (they are large).

 

How can I mount the sparsebundles which are living in the /data/.timemachine folder?

    Not really sure if this is the same but you may want to check this article. This is regarding removing the sparse bundle on ReadyNAS but might be helpful on locating and mounting it like what you need.
