Move disks between ReadyNAS 314 and 2120v2

The 314 is x86 and the 2120v2 is ARM.
If you haven't got the 2120v2 yet I would get the 3130 or 3138 which are x86
Whilst you can move disks from x86 to ARM, I think, this is not recommended.
Either way you should update you regular backup before moving your disks across (keep the disk order the same).

Hi, thank you all for the help. I decided to return the 2120v2 and opted for an x86 RN3138 instead which arrived today. I have backed up the old RN314.
So having read the replies, I believe I can now just move the 4 disks from the RN314 to the RN3138 in the same order and everything should be ok... correct? :)
Yes. You can simply move all four drives from RN314 to RN3138 (Same order is not required, but it is always nice to keep it in same order).
Before the move, maybe you can try to update RN314 to latest firmware, so that once hard drives are moved to RN3138, RN3138 will also run latest firmware regardless which firmware was loaded on your RN3138.

I have moved the disks over and everything is working perfectly which is great. Thanks for the help! One more question if I may...
Re the firmware version, the previous RN314 was running FW: v6.5.2 (latest x86 - I believe).
Having moved the disks to the RN3138, I have checked in the GUI and the OS is reporting FW: v6.5.2, but the box in which it came is marked FW: v6.4.1.
So my question is should I do anything further, or is everything actually up to date? I think (in my limited knowledge) there is a flash disk inside which needs to be updated but I dont know how to do this.
Any help gratefully received. :)
In case that boot device firmware version mismatches the firmware version installed on the hard drives, our firmware will try to sync up to newer version if that is possible. In your case, we used a backup copy of the firmware image stored on the hard drives taken from your RN314 to update the RN3138 boot device so you don't need to do anything else after the move. The firmware version label on system is the version loaded by the factory.
