ReadyNAS 2120V2

New to NAS devices. I am currently out of space on the NAS which is running RAID, I would like to replace all the hard drives and keep the old hard drives as archives. Can I do that?

Yes but you will need to do a full factory install.  If you expand one disk at a time, then the old disks get out of sync with each other, so you can't use them as archives.

Start with a full backup first (data and optionally configuration).

Power down, insert all the new disks and then power up.  The NAS will do a fresh install.

    Reinstall any apps,

Restore the configuration (either manually or from the config backup

    Reload the data.
