Netgear RN212 backing up onto USB

I am non techie and trying to create a backup of two folders from Netgear onto a USB. One is for all staff, the other is for me only. But on the USB everyone can open my confidential folder. What settings do I need to change to stop this?

This is when the USB drive is plugged into the NAS?

When I remove the USB to take it to take it off site and when I plugged it into another staffs computer all files could be viewed.

Basically you can't prevent that.  Even if you try to lock down the file access on your end, the person on the other computer generally can take ownership and still access the files.

One practical answer is to put the USB drive into a locked container.
