Netgear Stora, mystora.com
Anyone who have a solution to my Netgear Stora. I want to survive it from not working.
I accidently did a reset not remebering that mystora.com is down.
1.Can i make a user even if the cloud is down?
2.Can i root it and install linux?
All advice is good...

It is really old hardware that is quite slow by modern standards, so you're probably better off just getting something newer. You'd need to go with another vendor, since Netgear no longer sells storage products.
Do you have files you need to off-load? It uses XFS formatting, so you can mount the volume on a linux PC (or off-load it with recovery software that supports XFS).
I have secured the files. The stora is perfect for my purpose so i want to revive it :)

Afraid no.

Appears yes, see the link Sandshark supplied before.
It's a lot of work and requires some Linux skills, but see Root_Access_Via_TFTP
