Sorry for getting you confused, I meant "no it is NOT needed to create local users if you are not planning to have any permissions to the shares"

Thanks for your note. I honestly believe I have bothered you enough with this issue. You have ben very helpful and I think at this point I just need to experiment a bit to see if I can make this work. This may be something the team at Netgear wants to look at in the future to see if there is a way for a user to have only one ID for both local and ReadyCloud access.
