NV (note no +) ram compatibility.
Hi all
I have a ReadyNas NV (not the NV+) and I have a stick of 512mb ram laying around. Will it work in the Nas? It looks like the specks are overkill, but I am not really a hardware guy.
Product Description
HYMP564S64CP6-C4 AB
512MB 2Rx16 PC2-4200-444-12
Specification Table
Part / Feature Specification / Support
Dell Part Number : HYMP564S64CP6-C4 AB
Manufacturer : Hynix
Capacity : 512 MegaByte
Architecture : PC-4200 (533MHz) DDR2
Package : SODIMM 200-Pin
Any help would be great, I have no idea if i need more memory or not, I am running the base system, plus Git, and Time Machine, at times the Nas seems very sluggish to respond. Would more memory make a difference?
