I made a mistake i forgot my password/username how do i get around this?
Isn't the default password netgear1 for this model, if using OS4.2.xx ?

oops. The defaults I gave are for OS-6 NAS.
With OS 4.x, the default password is netgear1. An OS reinstall will reconfigure the network setting to DHCP (no link aggregation). It won't touch the volume quota (that is specific to OS 6).
