RAID 5 to Flex-RAID problems
I'm trying to switch from RAID 5 to Flex-RAID. I've backedup my data to an external HD and performed a Factory Reboot. I then used RAIDar to connect so I can change the RAID during the "10 minute win...
You can switch to flexraid now, and then delete the existing volume. You don't need to wait for the sync to finish.
Then of course create the jbod volumes you want.
Just tried doing the Factory Default by holding reset and powering on the NAS. Got the 10 minute window the guide was talking about but RAIDar didn't give me the option to change the RAID. It just said "Installing" under status. After the 10 minutes it went right back to RAID 5 and is now resyncing.

Thanks. I guess the stuff I was reading was a bit outdated. Got it working fine now!
