Hello tytou,
You only need RAID resync if there is a drive failure and that you have to replace it. Both file system check and RAID resync are a bit slow and read entire partition that can take a while, these things slow down more too when you use weaker processer like the ReadyNAS 100 series that has 512mb memory.
