Ready Nas NV+ Locking up
I have some WD20EARS drives and althought they are not on the list of compatablity I am sure they where when i installed them. They are now reporting ATA 42 errors and the nas is locking up.
I have tried to reinstall the firmware and this seems to get me in last time but after following teh suggestion to resynic I could not get in once that had finished.
I am trying a reinstall of the firmware again to see if it will get me in. If I get some more drives can I just synic onot those drives one at a time and will it work again?
Many thanks

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserATA errors are not SMART stats (They are part of the + in SMART+). So they are not detected by the drive, and can also be caused by failing NAS hardware.
I had increasing ATA errors on a drive in my Pro fairly recently, and solved it by installing a new drive. However, mine was not actually locking up. Resync might be hard if this problem is effecting multiiple drives.
I am wondering if support could help you figure which drive (hopefully one) is creating the lockup.
