Ready nas Ultra 4 or Pro 4 or NV+ v2
Hi All,
I'm currently in the market for a new ready nas. I have been looking at both the ultra 4 and Pro 4.
Both Diskless units are priced closely. I will be using the nas for obvious backup but also running vm's, some media streaming, etc.
Newegg has a diskless Pro 4 for $649, (I could add 2x2TB Seagate ST2000DL003 drives HCL List) and get the entire unit shipped for $809.
I would appreciate any thoughts from the Board pros. Should I look at something else? Maybe the NV+ v2? I just sold my NV+, that thing was a workhorse.
I appreciate any/all comments.
Thanks,
Sal

What do you mean by run some VMs? Just storing the VM on the NAS but running it on a PC or running the VM directly on the NAS itself? If the latter you'd be best to go with the Pro 6. - toto4Aspirantmdgm,
Thanks for the input! Yes, storing the vm's and running them from my desktop. I was leaning towards the Pro 4. I think that is the route I'm going to take. I like the fact you get the 5 year warranty. That is a big plus. Thanks again!
