Readyduo RND210 v2 not recognising Powerwalker UPS

HI

I've just changed my UPS from a APC to a Powerwalker VI850 LCD and connected the USB Cable to the Readynas. When I boot the readynas the new UPS is not recognised in Frontview.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Robin

There is no such thing as a "Readyduo RND210 v2".  Can you tell us what firmware the ReadyNAS is running?  That will tell us what platform you actually have.  RAIDar will also tell you: https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar

All ReadyNAS use Network UPS Tools (NUT) to monitor the UPS.  I am seeing some compatibility issues with the PowerWalker - for instance here: https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/646

Those might be resolved with current NUT software.  But if you are running 4.x or 5.x firmware, you have an old legacy NAS - with old NUT software.  I don't believe that can be easily updated on the old platforms.

Thanks for the reply. It seems to confirm what I thought that it won't probably work. It's about 8 years old and running firmware 4.1.6 which is the latest for this box. When I installed it I just pluged in the UPS and it worked. I think I was a bit nieve and expected it to work just pluging it into another UPS. I'm planning upgrading the Netgear and got the new UPS first. Should be alright when the Nas gets upgraded.

4.1.16 would be the latest.  That would make it a ReadyNAS Duo v1.

Hopefully yes.  There are some UPS out there that don't.
